Karagic is the former leader of the Crvene Beretke (Red Berets) Unit, a part of the former public safety center in Doboj. Karagic allegedly participated in an attack on Bosniak and Croat civilians, who were then detained and abused in military hangars in the vicinity of the Bosanka factory in Usora.

The state prosecution alleges Karagic is responsible for the murder of at least 12 Bosniaks who were taken out of the Spreca prison in Doboj in May 1992 and executed.

According to the unconfirmed indictment, Karagic and others raped two Bosniak minors during the summer of 1992.

He has also been charged with the destruction of a mosque in the village of Miljkovac in the municipality of Doboj, which was demolished by an explosive device in May 1992.

Karagic is suspected of arresting and detaining Bosniak and Croat civilians in collaboration with other members of the Crvene Beretke Unit in the Teslic area in June 1992. The civilians were physically and mentally abused, and some of them were killed or went missing.

The indictment has been filed with the state court for confirmation.
