Savinovic, a former member of the Anti-Terrorism Group (ATG), also known as the “Convicts Battalion – Benko Penavic,” is suspected of having participated in the persecution and murder of Bosniaks.

The unconfirmed indictment alleges that Savinovic, accompanied by three other members of the Croatian Defense Council, killed four Bosniak civilians, including an infant, in Mostar. Their bodies were found in the Bijeli Brijeg area.

Savinovic has also been charged with deporting a three-member family to the Eastern part of Mostar in August 1993. He allegedly drove them to the division line and shot in the air while they crossed to the other side, acting in collaboration with other Croatian Defense Council members.

The indictment has been filed with the Bosnian state court for confirmation.
