The trial chamber at the cantonal court of Sarajevo said Ceco’s defense attorney had informed the court that he wouldn’t be able to appear at the hearing due to obligations in another court.
Ceco, a former member of the Bosnian Army, has been charged with the physical abuse of Serb civilians in the Dobrinja neighbourhood of Sarajevo.
Ceco was previously sentenced to two years in prison for these crimes. The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina repealed the verdict and returned the case to the cantonal court of Sarajevo for a retrial.
The trial will continue on December 23.
