On Monday, the court restricted Oric’s movements to the cantons of Sarajevo and Zenica-Doboj and confiscated his travel documents.

If he breaches the conditions of his travel ban, Oric may be ordered into detention.

The Bosnian state prosecution suspects Oric of participating in the murder of Serb civilians in the village of Zalazje in the summer of 1992.

The Bosnian state court ordered the travel ban after Oric was extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina from Switzerland. Oric was arrested by Swiss authorities on June 10, due to an arrest warrant issued by Serbia.

Both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia requested Oric’s extradition. Swiss authorities decided to extradite Oric to Bosnia and Herzegovina since his alleged crimes were committed on Bosnian territory and Bosnian authorities have been investigating Oric since 2009.
