Witness Recalls Fathers Disappearance in Zecovi

Zeljko Grbic, Dusan Milunic, Radomir Stojnic, Radovan Cetic, Dusko Zoric, Zoran Stojnic, Ilija Zoric, Zoran Milunic, Bosko Grujicic, Ljubisa Cetic, Rade Grujcic, Uros Grujcic, Zdravko Antonic and Rajko Gnjatovic have been charged with acts of murder, torture, sexual violence, destruction and confiscation of property from the local population of the village of Zecovi.
The indictment further alleges that 29 women and children were killed in the hamlet of Gradina. Their bodies were allegedly buried in a mass grave, and have still not been found.
Milunic was the commander of the Rasavacka Company of the 6th Battalion of the 43rd Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army. Radomir Stojnic was the commander of the reserve police station in Rasavci. Radovan Cetic was the president of the Serbian Democratic Party and crisis committee for the village of Rasavci. The other defendants were members of the Rasavacka Company, the police and other formations, according to the indictment.
State prosecution witness Elvira Bunic said five or six Serb soldiers came to her house on July 23, 1992. She said she recognized Zeljko Grbic, who was standing on the road.
I called out to him that evening. He just turned away, Bunic said. She was 15 at the time.
Bunic said she called to Grbic to help her father, whod been taken by soldiers to a barn and forced to hand over his lambs to them.
Bunic said she recognized the defendant in the courtroom and said theyd had a brief relationship.
Bunic said her father returned home that night.
Bunic said some time later, another group of soldiers came and told the men from the village, including her father, to go to Sabans store. She never saw her father again. His remains were found in the Tomasica mass grave.
Bunic said she didnt know who killed her father. She said a man named Rade Grujcic told her family not to worry, and that he was at Sabans place.
I know the Bacic family was killed. I heard the shot and I heard the stories, Bunic said. She said she remembered seeing a blue truck going back and forth in the village.
During cross examination, Bunic said her father was taken away a couple of days after she saw Grbic. She said she didnt see Grbic the day her father was taken away.
The trial continues on July 10.
