Zenica’s cantonal court has postponed the trial of Ivo Crepulja, due to the defendant’s poor health.
Crepulja’s defense attorney Nikica Bodul said that his client was severely ill, and submitted confirming medical documentation to the court.
The court chamber ordered an expert medical examination of Crepulja, in order to determine whether he would be able to follow the trial.
Crepulja, a former member of the Croatian Defence Council, is charged with killing a civilian minor in the village of Ratanj on October 16, 1993. The indictment alleges that the killing took place without cause or reason.
The trial will continue on April 8.
