The Prosecution proposed that the following prohibiting measures ordered against Dzambegovic be extended: a ban on leaving his place of residence, a ban on traveling and meeting certain persons and an obligation to report to police twice a week, so he would not flee or influence the witnesses.

Mirsada Beganovic-Zutic, Defence attorney of the indictee, said that she did not object to the State Prosecution’s motion, explaining that her client did not possess another country’s passport and that there was no fear that he might flee.

The Court will render a decision concerning the possible extension of prohibiting measures at a later stage.

Under the indictment confirmed on January 6, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, charges Dzambegovic, a former member of the Army of BiH, ABiH, with having committed crimes against the civilian population in Crkvine village, Gorazde municipality, from May to August 1992.

The Prosecution of BiH alleges that Dzambegovic used to come to the village from which able-bodied men had been taken away and physically and mentally mistreated and intimidated Seb civilians, who stayed in the village. Some of those civilians were even more than 70 years old.
