Golubovic and Bozic Charged with Crimes in Odzak and Brod

Golubovic and Bozic, former members of military police with the 102nd Odzak Brigade of HVO are charged with inhumane treatment of Serb civilians, who were unlawfully held in school buildings in Odzak and Novi Grad, Strolit factory, as well as the construction material warehouse in Bosanski Brod and nearby “Fric Pavlik” secondary school centre.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, announced that, in the period from May to November 1992 Golubovic and Bozic, a former Manager and guard in the detention facilities, assisted in causing severe physical and mental pain and suffering of detained civilians and abuse of those persons, which had lethal consequences.
“They are charged with having participated in the murder, torture and taking detainees to front lines in order to perform forced labour. Several of them lost their lives and many persons were wounded at those locations. Besides that, they are charged with having actively participated in pillaging of property owned by the unlawfully detained civilians,” the Prosecution of BiH announced.
Under the unconfirmed indictment, Golubovic and Bozic are charged with having participated in rape and forcing unlawfully detained women to have forced sexual intercourse with HVO members.
Golubovic is charged with having come to that place on several occasions and committed the multiple rape of four women, including a minor, whom he raped most frequently.
“The indictees, who have Croat citizenship, are on the run. They are not available to judicial bodies in BiH. The competent Prosecutor will request the issuance of an international arrest warrant,” the State Prosecution announced.
The indictment has been filed with the Court of BiH for confirmation.
