Lalicic was ordered into home detention. Police will visit him at his place of residence twice a week. He is banned from travelling and meeting the witnesses.

The Court of BiH rejected a State Prosecution’s motion, requesting it to order custody for Lalicic.

“In case the suspect violates the prohibiting measures ordered against him, he may be ordered into custody,” the Court’s announcement says.

The Prosecution suspects Lalicic, a former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, of having committed crimes against Serb victims in Hrasnica in 1992 and 1993.

He is suspected of inhumane treatment and physical abuse of several detainees, as well as the multiple rape and sexual abuse of a female person.

Lalicic was arrested in Hrasnica, Ilidza municipality, on Monday, December 8 and released two days later.
