Witness Zijad Music, who was Deputy Commander of a battalion with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, in Dreznica, near Mostar, in 1993, said that he found out about the Trusina crimes after the war, when the court proceeding was initiated.
Music spoke about the whereabouts of Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of the “Zulfikar” Unit of ABiH, in the summer and autumn of 1993.
He said that the “Zulfikar” Unit was on Mount Igman in July and that, in August a part of the unit returned to Dreznica, where, as he said, he used to see Bojadzic every day from mid-September to the beginning of October, when combats were conducted in that area. The witness also recalled the wounding of indictee Bojadzic, which, according to a Defence’s document, happened on October 5.
Bojadzic is on trial, along with Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin and Nedzad Hodzic, former members of the “Zulfikar” Unit, as well as Senad Hakalovic, former member of “Neretvica” Brigade of ABiH, for having committed crimes in Trusina.
According to the charges, 18 civilians and four members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, who had previously surrendered, were killed in the ABiH attack on Trusina.
The trial is due to continue on October 13. In the meantime the Trial Chamber will decide whether to accept the presentation of evidence with which the Prosecution of BiH wants to deny the Defence’s evidence.
