The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, requested these measures due to a danger that Begovic might flee.
The Defence objected to the Prosecutor’s motion, saying that the indictee has family and that there was no evidence that he had dual citizenship.
Begovic is charged with having beaten and abused Bosniak civilians and prisoners of war in extremely humiliating ways in Batkovici detention camp in 1992.
The indictment alleges that he committed those crimes as a member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS.
