Bojadzic Resting in Bradina

A Defence witness says that he was in Pazaric and Bradina with indictee Nihad Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of “Zulfikar” Unit with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, on the day, when crimes were committed in Trusina, near Konjic.

A Defence witness says that he was in Pazaric and Bradina with indictee Nihad Bojadzic, former Deputy Commander of “Zulfikar” Unit with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, on the day, when crimes were committed in Trusina, near Konjic.

Elvedin Ibrahimovic, also known as Ekac, said that he was in Pazaric with Bojadzic in the morning hours on April 16, 1993, when crimes against Croats in Trusina were committed.
 
Ibrahimovic, former Bojadzic’s driver, said that he drove the indictee to a local Imam in order to mark the anniversary of his mother’s death. As he said, after that they went to Commander Zulfikar Alispago’s and then to the military barracks in Bradina in order for Bojadzic to rest.

The witness recalled that, at a certain stage a soldier came running and said that some members of “Zulfikar” Squad had been wounded. The witness said that he went to a checkpoint, where vehicles, which brought the wounded, stopped. He said that two soldiers were wounded and that Samko was one of them.  

According to the witness’ testimony, the vehicles continued towards the war hospital in Suhodol soon after that. He said that he and Bojadzic were in the convoy of vehicles as well.

Bojadzic is on trial, along with Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin and Nedzad Hodzic, former members of “Zulfikar” Squad, as well as Senad Hakalovic, former member of “Neretvica” Brigade of ABiH, for crimes committed in Trusina on April 16, 1993.
The indictment alleges that 18 civilians and four members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, who had previously surrendered, were killed in the ABiH attack on Trusina.  

The witness said that, one day prior to the crimes in Trusina a group of members of “Zulfikar” Squad, who were led by Samko, went from Bradina towards Parsovici village, located in the vicinity of Trusina.  

He mentioned that, in the evening on April 15 a meeting was held in Bradina and that Bojadzic was among the meeting participants. As he said, the meeting ended several hours past midnight.
 
During his testimony Ibrahimovic said that he did not see indictee Memic in the group of soldiers, who were present in Bradina. He explained that he met Memic in the evening hours on April 16.  

Prior to the examination of this witness, protected witness V was examined in absence of public.
 
The trial is due to continue on September 29.
