He was ordered into custody due to a danger that he might flee and a possibility that he might interfere with the criminal proceedings while at liberty, by influencing witnesses and accomplices.

Tesic was arrested along with Miodrag Josipovic but the Court of BiH decided to release him to liberty under prohibiting measures. He is not allowed to leave his house and contact witnesses and accomplices.

Tesic and Josipovic, former superior officers with the Public Safety Station in Bratunac, are suspected of having ordered, organised and supervised the enforced resettlement of civilians from Potocari, as well as admission and holding of several thousands of captives in Bratunac on July 13, 1995.

According to a State Prosecution’s announcement, the captives were subjected to violence and liquidation, while about 100 of them were killed.

The State Prosecution announced that it would finalize the investigation in less than a month.
