Prosecutor Milorad Barasin included, in the case file, 16 pieces of material evidence, including a birth certificate for the indictee and a certificate, saying that Indira Kameric’s maiden name was Vrbanjac.
The State Prosecution also presented a death certificate for Jovo Dujic.
Kameric, former member of the 101st Bosanski Brod Brigade with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, is charged with having participated in physical and mental torture and inhumane treatment of Serb and Bosniak civilians and prisoners of war in the police premises and at “Polet” stadium in Bosanski Brod from April to October 1992.
Among other things, Kameric is charged with having participated, along with other HVO members, in the physical abuse of Jovo Dujic in front of the Polet stadium in July 1992.
The indictment alleges that, after having been beaten up, Dujic was taken away by unknown HVO soldiers. His remains were exhumed from a city cemetery in Bosanski Brod in 1993.
At this hearing the Defence of indictee Kameric announced that it planned to examine between five and ten witnesses and present a few pieces of material evidence.
“We are close to making a list of witnesses and material evidence. We are in the phase of locating two more witnesses,” Defence attorney Lejla Covic said.
The trial is due to continue on September 18.
