Indictment for Crimes in Trnovo Confirmed

Godinjak is charged with having committed those crimes in his capacity as Chief of the Public Safety Station in Trnovo, Saric as Commander of the Territorial Defence Headquarters and Bunoza as Commander of units of the Croatian Army – Croatian Defence Forces.
They are charged with having participated in a joint criminal enterprise with the aim of committing murders, arrests, detention and setting property owned by Serb civilians on fire in villages in Trnovo municipality.
“The indictees participated in murders and inhumane treatment of captured members of the Republika Srpska Army in detention facilities on the territory of Trnovo municipality,” the Court announced.
As previously announced by the Prosecution, more than 90 people, most of whom were of old age, were killed during those war crimes. A big number of women, as well as one child born in 1990, were among the victims as well.
