Trial for Bileca Crimes Postponed

The continuation of the trial for Bileca crimes has been postponed due to the fact that indictee Nedjeljko Kuljic fails to appear in court due to illness.

Kuljic’s attorney Veljko Civsa said that the indictee was not able to come, because he was at hospital in Trebinje due to lung problems.
 
Kuljic is on trial, along with Goran Vujovic, Miroslav Duka and Zeljko Ilic, former members of the Public Safety Station in Bileca.
 
According to the charges, Vujovic was Chief of the Public Safety Station in Bileca, Duka was Commander of the Station, while Kuljic and Ilic were policemen.
 
Vujovic and Duka are charged with having enabled and organised the detention of Bosniak and Croat civilians in the Public Safety Station and Students’ Dormitory in Bileca in 1992.  Ilic is charged with having participated in the abuse of detainees, while Duka and Kuljic are charged with the abuse as well as a murder.
 
The trial is due to continue on July 15.
