The Trial Chamber concluded that the Prosecution failed to prove that Radojkovic committed those crimes he is charged for, and did not submit any material evidence that could support the indictment.

“During the main hearing, the Prosecutor introduced only one witness, who indicated that the accused may have committed the crime he is charged for, but the court did not receive any material evidence confirming that”, said presiding judge, Milena Zoric.

Radojkovic, former commander of the Third Squad at the Jahorina Training Centre of the Special Police Brigade of Republika Srpska, was charged for opening fire, while securing the highway between Bratunac and Konjevic Polje, along with other members of the unit, at a few Muslim men who tried to escape Srebrenica in 1995.

According to the indictment, one person was wounded and left with no medical assistance, lying in a ditch by the road during the night.
Radojkovic came back there in the morning and shot the wounded man, it says.

The verdict can be appealed before the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska.
