Semic said that she had known indictee Kadic from before the war and that the two of them were members of the Manoeuvre Unit with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina in June 1992.
“Kadic was one of the most experienced men, who taught younger and newly-arrived members of the unit about everything,” Semic said.
As Semic said, following the demobilisation, she used to see indictee Kadic in Visoko, where she worked with the Association of Disabled Persons.
“You know how things are in small places. All citizens know each other. Considering the fact that I was the only female member of our unit, male members, with whom I also later worked and gossiped a lot, then we knew what each person had done. However, I have never heard that anybody was raped or that Asim Kadic had committed anything like that,” witness Semic said.
The Zenica Cantonal Prosecution charges former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina Asim Kadic with having raped one person in Zenica in June 1992.
The continuation of the trial is scheduled for December 18, when indictee Kadic will testify in his defence.
