Protected witness S-15 said that he was brought to “Vuk Karadzic” school building in Bratunac from the town stadium, where he saw many soldiers, some of whom he knew. He told the Court that he did not see the indictee at the stadium, although he said so in his previous statement.
“I saw many distressed people in the school building. My son was among them. As I was entering the building, I met Osman Halilovic. He was swollen. He had injuries on his head,” witness S-15 said, adding that he did not see Halilovic again, but he knew that he was buried.
According to the witness’ testimony, “a policeman named Hasan” told him that, in the case of Osman Halilovic and Juso Hasanovic, who was killed before that, “Savo Babic played the key role, because he tried to remove them”.
“I did not see that they were killed by Savo Babic, but I heard that he gave the order,” witness S-15 said.
He said that Mevlida Hasanovic told him that a policeman named Dragan Dragicevic said that Babic ordered him to find Juso Hasanovic.
The witness specified later on that it was not Dragan Dragicevic, but a man named Dragan Neskovic.
The witness said that he thought that “Juso and Osman were in a feud” with indictee Babic.
S-15 said that he saw indictee Babic in the school building twice, adding that he once came with the father of killed Goran Zekic and then again on the day when they were exchanged.
Babic, former Commander of military police in Bratunac, is charged with having detained and abused non-Serb civilians in “Vuk Karadzic” school building, where he “had an absolute authority over the lives of detainees and living conditions”.
S-15 said that he once carried bodies of killed detainees out of the school toilet.
“I searched for my son among the 30 or 40 mutilated bodies. Some were shot, while others were cut into pieces. They were dressed in underwear only. The floor was covered with blood,” witness S-15 said, adding that he then saw more bodies of men, women and children, which were piled on wooden palettes in the hangar.
Also, he said that detainee Asim Mujcic was set on fire in a container in front of the school, adding that there was an unpleasant smell.
Second Prosecution witness S-10 witnessed murders, beating and taking away from the school building as well. He said that he saw Babic only once, when they were departing to the exchange location.
