Testifying as a Defence witness, she said that she went from Dusce village with her children to her mother’s in Rodica Brdo, where “two men, who were dressed in camouflage uniforms” came and searched the house in June 1992.
“They were looking for a wounded man. They threatened that they would throw a bomb into the attic. They forced us out and searched the house. After that they brought us back and told us not to leave the house,” witness OK-22 said.
She found out later on that Resad Mucovski and Fadil Zukic were taken away from the village that day. As she said, Mucovski’s mother informed her that the same two men, who had searched her house, took him away.
“I did not know them. They were from Jagodina,” witness OK-22 said.
According to the charges, in June 1992 Krsmanovic participated in the taking away of two men, who have never been seen alive again. The former member of the Second Podrinje Light Infantry Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army is charged with having committed murders, rape, torture and other inhumane acts against Bosniak civilians.
Responding to questions by Defence attorney Slavisa Prodanovic, the witness said that she did not hear anybody mention Oliver Krsmanovic, whom she knew, on that day.
She said that she saw the indictee on the following day, when he came to her house and “asked me to bring some water, so that he could wash his hands.”
The trial is due to continue on November 12. A three-week break has been ordered because a response from The Hague Tribunal concerning protection measures for witnesses, whom the Defence wants to invite, is being awaited.
