Witness A said that he was in the Dretelj detention camp hangar, along with Hasan, Izet and Omer Duvnjak, in the summer of 1993.
“About 200 of us were held in the hangar. When we heard a gunshot, I noticed that Hasan and Izet were wounded. Hasan was shot on his chest, while Izet was shot on his head. They died immediately. I did not see Omer, but I heard him shouting that he was wounded,” witness A recalled.
The indictment alleges that Vulic, former member of military police with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, in Capljina, is charged with having shot at three detained Bosniaks through a hangar window in Dretelj detention camp on July 14, 1993 and killed them.
Witness B too confirmed that somebody opened fire through the hangar window.
“I did not see who was shooting, because I bent my head down. Two men were killed immediately, while the third one was shouting: ‘Brother, I am wounded’. As I could see, Hasan and Izet died immediately. They carried them out. At that moment I saw blood on Hasan’s chest and on Izet’s temporal bone,” witness B said.
Witness C told the Court that he carried Izet Duvnjak, who was wounded, out.
“My leg was next to Izet’s head. Following the gunshot, I noticed that Izet was shot on his head and Hasan on his chest. While I was carrying Izet out, he looked at me only once. I carried him to the hangar door,” the witness said.
Protected witness D said that he heard that three men were killed in the hangar, but he was not present at the time.
The trial is due to continue on October 25.
