The Appellate Chamber partially upheld an appeal filed by the Defence attorney of the indictee and revised the part of the first instance verdict pronounced in November last year related to the duration of imprisonment sentence only.
Macic was pronounced guilty of having committed crimes against the Serb population in Celebici detention camp in his capacity as member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, in 1992.
In addition to that, he was found guilty of having killed Milorad Kuljanin, participated in the beating of Scepo Gotovac, who later died, and three other cases of the physical abuse of detainees.
He was acquitted of charges contained in the first two counts of the indictment.
The time Macic has spent under custody, from November 15, 2012 onwards, will be calculated towards his sentence.
