The appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court reduced Eso Macics sentence from 13 to 11 years in prison. Macic was found guilty of committing war crimes against civilians in the municipality of Konjic.
At todays hearing of the Eso Macic retrial at the Bosnian state court, Macics defense attorney said his sentence should be reduced. The prosecution, on the other hand, proposed that Macic be sentenced as per the law.
The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina reduces the sentence against Eso Macic from 15 to 13 years in prison for crimes against the civilian population in the Konjic area.
Presenting its appeal against a verdict under which Eso Macic was sentenced to 15 years in prison for crimes committed in the Konjic area, the Defence requests the Court to acquit the indictee, while the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina objects, requesting the Court to confirm the verdict.
