The indictment charges Dedic with having participated in the beating of Serb civilians, while collecting illegal weapons in June 1992.

“On that occasion houses were searched, while local residents were unlawfully taken to the Police Station, where they were examined,” the indictment alleges.

It is further alleged that Dedic forced one of the local residents, at whose house a gun was found, to walk through the town, saying that he was in charge of killing Muslim children. After that local Breza residents hit him and spitted on him.

“Two people died, while three received severe bodily injuries after being beaten up during their examination in the police station,” the indictment alleges.

The Chamber will schedule the beginning of the main trial at a later stage.
