“Besides these individuals, the body of Stjepan Tunjic has also been identified. His remains were exhumed from Ogradice mass grave, Brcko District. The identification was conducted through a DNA analysis.

Families of these people confirmed the identification results,” said Lejla Cengic, spokesperson of the Institute for the Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

In addition to the identifications at the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla, one war victim has been identified in Podrinje. The victim’s name is Sejdalija Suljicic from Zvornik. His remains were found in Osmaci mass grave, Zvornik municipality.

The Balkan Investigative Reporting Network of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BIRN BiH, the “Forgotten Children of War” Association, and the Srebrenica Memorial Centre presented a Database of Judicially Established Facts about the War and a handbook, How to Learn ad Teach about the War in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a tool for educating young people, combatting denial and relativization of verdicts, and building peace and mutual understanding.
