The District Prosecution of Eastern Sarajevo charges Markovic with having raped two women in Babin Potok village, Visegrad municipality in June 1992.

Trial Chamber Chairman Milorad Krkeljas said that, as per a proposal by the Prosecution, four vulnerable witnesses, who had been assigned pseudonyms, one police inspector and expert witnesses would be examined at this trial.

The Chamber decided that the identity of the witnesses, who have been assigned pseudonyms, would be revealed to the Defence.

Prosecutor Mirza Hukeljic said that the Prosecution wanted expert witnesses to present their findings and opinion about the mental state of the vulnerable witnesses and that the Prosecution would then decide whether to request additional protection measures for those witnesses.

It was agreed that the Court would request the Centre for Social Work to provide support to the vulnerable witnesses.

Markovic was arrested, but he was released from custody in March last year.
