“The Court has accepted the Prosecution’s proposal for examination of the witnesses only about the circumstances of the alibi. This will be done in the form of a response to the evidence,” said Trial Chamber Chairman Saban Maksumic.
Defence witnesses, who testified at previous hearings, said that the indictee was a refugee in Kutjevo, Croatia from April to June 1992.
Albina Terzic, known as Nina, former member of military police with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, is charged with having treated Serb civilians, who were unlawfully detained in the school building and Strolit factory in Odzak, in an inhumane manner from May to July 1992.
According to the charges, Terzic hit prisoners on their necks, shoulders and heads with a police baton, slapped them, encouraged a dog to attack them, tortured, abused, humiliated and insulted them in various ways, including by forcing them to have sexual intercourse.
The trial is due to continue on June 26, when the additional Prosecution witnesses will be examined.
