“Also, I am presenting the documents related to the exhumation of the remains from Golubnjaca pit, as well as 15 DNA reports,” Begovic said.

At the trial of Ratko Dronjak, who is charged with crimes in Drvar, the State Prosecution presented many pieces of evidence about the death and disappearance of prisoners from Kamenica detention camp, Drvar
municipality. The Prosecutor presented and included in the case file the evidence related to the disappearance of a few persons and reports on the identification and hand over of bodies to family members.

“I present medical evidence about the treatment and disability of a few persons, who were detained in Kamenica detention camp, as alleged by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Begovic said.

Ratko Dronjak, former Manager of detention facilities in Drvar municipality, is charged with having participated in the establishment and maintenance of punishment and abuse systems in the “Slavko Rodic” school building and Kamenica detention camp from May 1992 to the end of 1995.

The indictment alleges that detained civilians and prisoners of war were subjected to torture, beating, murder and inhumane treatment, while also being forced to perform hard labour, on a daily basis.

Prosecutor Begovic presented a drawing of Golubnjaca mass grave, as well as video and photo documentation related to that mass grave.

“We present a list of captured and exchanged persons, who, according to the Prosecution’s allegations, were held in Kamenica detention camp,” Begovic said.

Slobodan Peric, Defence attorney of indictee Dronjak, objected to a few pieces of evidence, questioning their relevance and authenticity. “As far as the persons registered in the death registry are concerned, the Defence is claiming that half of them were never held in Kamenica detention camp,” Peric said.

The trial is due to continue on December 8 this year.
