The unconfirmed indictment alleges that Planincic, Lisancic and Menzil are charged with having participated, in collaboration with other individuals, in an attack against Serb civilians in Serdari village, Kotor Varos municipality on September 17, 1992.
According to the charges, the indictee knew that civilians were present in Serdari village. It is further alleges that 16 Serb civilians were killed in the attack. Some of them were killed from firearms in front of or inside the residential buildings where they lived. The attack allegedly resulted in severe bodily injuries or the wounding of many persons.
“Following the attack, the property that belonged to those civilians was set on fire and destroyed. One female person was forcibly taken to another location and detained. She was unlawfully held and examined at that location for several days,” the State Prosecution’s indictment alleges.
Planincic, Lisancic and Menzil were arrested in May this year. They have been held in custody since.
The indictment has been filed with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
