Although Defence attorney Dijana Hasic appeared before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a replacement for Mehmedbasic, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to postpone the hearing due to absence of Defence attorney.

“Omar Mehmedbasic, Defence attorney of the indictees, negotiated with the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and signed a paper about a guilt admission agreement. The person, who is replacing him today, is not authorised, so we have to cancel this hearing,” said Hasija Masovic, judge with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Judge Masovic said that Defence attorney Mehmedbasic had to be told to come to the next hearing, or else the State Court would “think about sanctions”.

Malenica, Editor-in-Chief of “Bum” magazine, and Muracevic, journalist with that magazine, are charged with having disclosed information about a protected witness twice, although they knew, when they published the article, that other media stations or information agencies had not revealed her identity.

The trial is postponed until October 21, 2011.
