The Court accepted the Prosecution’s motion, requesting the extension of custody. The Prosecution expressed its concern about the potential influencing of witnesses and disturbing public order and peace.

The Defence objected the Prosecution’s motion, claiming that it was “unfounded”.

As per the Court’s decision, Jankovic and Stojnovic may be held in custody until November 22, 2008.

The Prosecution suspects that Jankovic and Stojnovic participated in the murder of about 200 men at Koricanske stijene, on mount Vlasic, in late August 1992.

The two men were arrested in late May 2008, as per a warrant issued by the State Prosecution. They have been held in custody since then.

In October 2008, as per a Prosecution’s warrant, Gordan Djuric, Milorad Radakovic, Milorad Skrbic and Ljubisa Cetic were also arrested, under suspicion that they participated in the crime at Koricanske stijene. The four men were ordered into one-month custody.

The Prosecution suspects that Damir Ivankovic and Zoran Babic also participated in this crime. After having been arrested in May 2008, the two men were released to liberty.
