A team of medical doctors determined that Predrag Kujundzic was capable of following the trial, conducted before the State Court in Sarajevo.

As requested by the Court, the doctors presented their findings and opinion, based on medical reports and conversations with the indictee. They concluded that he had suffered from a mild stroke and that his blood pressure was high, so he must not undergo much effort. In addition he has hearing problems.

“Kujundzic is capable of appearing before the Court and following the trial, which has to be adapted to his needs due to his hearing problems,” Dr Marija Kaucic-Komsic said, presenting the findings of the medical team.

The trial of Kujundzic, former commander of “Predini vukovi” (“Predp’s Wolves”) Unit, who is charged with persecution, occupation of villages, pillaging of property, rape, slavery, physical and mental abuse of civilians in the Doboj area during the war, was suspended due to his health problems in early May.

After having spent a month in the hospital, during which time some additional examinations were performed, the team of medical doctors presented its findings and the Court rendered a decision to continue the trial on June 11.
