Predrag Kujundzic, the wartime commander of the Predini Vukovi (Predo’s Wolves) unit, who was serving a 17-year sentence for the persecution, rape and unlawful detention of civilians, died in hospital in Doboj in Bosnia.
Predrag Kujundzic fails to appear as a Defence witness to give the Court his version of events in Doboj in 1992.
After Predrag Kujundzic, who is charged before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina with crimes against humanity committed in Doboj, had declined to testify as a Defence witness, his Defence presented its material evidence and thus completed the evidence presentation.
Seeking to prove the eight counts of the indictment against the former leader of the Predini vukovi group, the State Prosecution has examined around 40 witnesses, some of whom survived traumatic experiences in Doboj, including shooting, being used as a human shield, and being subjected to Russian roulette.
Two Prosecution witnesses claim to have been mistreated by indictee Predrag Kujundzic, while witness Tokaca speaks about the killing of people in Doboj and the surrounding villages.
