The prosecution called for the quashing of the verdict acquitting former Bosnian Serb Army soldier Nenad Perovic of assisting the rape of one woman and sexually abusing another in 1992. The prosecution on Monday urged the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court to quash the verdict acquitting Nenad Perovic of sexual abuse in the village of Dobrasina, near Rogatica, during wartime in 1992.

Bosnian Serb wartime fighter Sasa Cvetkovic appealed against his conviction for the murder of two elderly Roma women and the rape of two Bosniaks in the Srebrenica and Bratunac areas in 1992. Sasa Cvetkovic’s defence on Monday launched an appeal at the Bosnian state court against the verdict that convicted the wartime fighter of killing two elderly Roma women in May 1992 and raping two Bosniaks, one of them a minor, in June 1992.

The state prosecution charged former Bosnian Serb Army soldiers Radovan Paprica and Slavko Ognjenovic with crimes including rape and sexual abuse in the Foca area during the war in 1992. The Bosnian prosecution on Thursday charged Radovan Paprica, alias Papro, and Slavko Ognjenovic, alias Macak, with committing crimes against humanity in Foca in eastern Bosnia in 1992 while they were members of the Bosnian Serb Army.

A Belgrade court sentenced Nikola Vida Lujic, a former member of Serbian State Security’s notorious Special Operations Unit, to eight years in prison for raping a woman in Brcko in Bosnia in June 1992. Belgrade Higher Court on Thursday convicted Nikola Vida Lujic, a former member of the Special Operations Unit, an elite Serbian special forces unit also known as the Red Berets, of raping a Bosnian women in Brcko on June 20, 1992, and sentenced him to eight years in prison.

Police arrested former Bosnian Serb Army soldiers Radovan Paprica and Slavko Ognjenovic, who are suspected of committing multiple rape and sexual abuse in the Foca area in 1992. State Investigation and Protection Agency police arrested Radovan Paprica, also known as Papro, and Slavko Ognjenovic, alias Macak, on Sunday on charges of the multiple rape and sexual abuse of Bosniaks in the Foca area of eastern Bosnia in 1992.
