The Supreme Court of Republika Srpska sentenced Ivica Perkovic, also known as Mungos, to four years in prison for crimes committed against Serb civilians in Derventa.
The retrial of Veselko and Ivo Raguz began with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the state prosecution and the defense teams at the appellate chamber of the Bosnian state court. Veselko and Ivo Raguz have been accused of committing war crimes in the areas of Stolac and Capljina.
Testifying in his defense, Ramo Zilic told the cantonal court of Mostar that he did not beat prisoners while he was a guard at the Musala school building in Konjic.
At todays hearing of the Zarije Ostojic trial, an Eastern Sarajevo district prosecution witness said the defendant took a detainee out of a hangar and beat him.
