The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has postponed the trial for crimes committed in Bugojno due to the death of a family member of indictee Enes Handzic.
The trial of four men charged with crimes committed against Bosnian Croats from Bugojno was postponed when a defence witness failed to appear in court.
A defence witness at the trial of Enes Handzic said that the only person who could issue decisions on the release of detainees was the assistant commander for security, the position held by the accused in the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ARBiH.
Senad Alkic, former Assistant Commander for Operational Affairs with the 307th Motorized Brigade of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, says Croat detainees were held in various buildings in Bugojno, but the issue was not discussed at Brigade management meetings.
Edin Corhusic, testifying for the Defence of the third indictee at the trial for crimes committed against Croats from Bugojno, says that Enes Handzic issued warrants ordering people to be apprehended and held in detention camps.
On the second day of his testimony at the trial of four indictees charged with crimes committed in Bugojno, Selmo Cikotic says he conceded responsibility for prisoners-of-war to the civil authorities in Bugojno, "as per an instruction issued by General Rasim Delic".
The Trial Chamber interrupts the examination of Defence witness Selmo Cikotic at the trial for crimes against Croats in Bugojno in order to protect him from exposing himself to criminal prosecution.
During his testimony, a former detainee in Iskra detention camp in Bugojno thanks Nisvet Gasal and Musajb Kukavica for "doing whatever they could to help the detainees".
Hamid Dzopa and Suvad Delic, former Guard Commanders in "Iskra" detention camp in Bugojno, say that living conditions in the detention camp "drastically improved" when Nisvet Gasal became Manager.
