Former UNPROFOR Commander in Bosnia and Herzegovina Michael Rose says that indictee Ratko Mladic had “an absolute control and command” over the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, which opened “disproportionate” artillery fire on Sarajevo in 1994 and 1995, causing civilian victims.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an order to discontinue an investigation against 14 individuals, who were suspected of crimes in Dobrovoljacka Street in Sarajevo in May 1992. The State Prosecution issued the order to discontinue the investigation against Ejup Ganic, Hasan Efendic, Zaim Backovic, Jovan Divjak, Jusuf Pusina, Emin Svrakic, Dragan Vikic, Fikret Muslimovic, Dzevad Topic, Jovica Berovic, Resad Jusupovic, Jusuf Kecman, Damir Dolan and Ibrahim Hodzic, because it has determined that the suspects’ actions did not contain any criminal elements.
