The state prosecution and the defense of Dragan Sekaric has asked the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court to repeal the verdict in the Sekaric case. Sekaric was sentenced to 14 years in prison for acts of murder and rape committed in the Visegrad area during the summer of 1992.

The Supreme Court of Republika Srpska confirmed the verdict in the Nikola Krsmanovic case. Krsmanovic was sentenced to two years in prison for attempting to kill a protected witness in a war crimes case.

The first state prosecution witness to testify at the Jovan Popovic trial said she saw the defendant a few minutes after she realized her husband was missing.

The Jovan Popovic trial began with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of the prosecution’s introductory statement.

The Bosnian state court has confirmed an indictment against Milan Komad, accused of war crimes against civilians in the Visegrad area.

The Jovan Popovic trial will begin at the Bosnian state court on September 16.
