Eight former fighters went on trial for wartime crimes against Serb civilians who were unlawfully detained and allegedly tortured and sexually abused in the Lukavac area in 1992. The trial of Zijad Srabovic, Refik Morankic, Ahmet Bajric, Abid Arapcic, Senaid Cosic, Pasaga Cajic, Samir Dzambic and Mirsad Zilic, who are charged with the inhumane treatment, torture and murder of civilians detained in the city of Lukavac and nearby Modrac from June to October 1992, opened at the Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Tuesday.

28. December 2018.
Eight former fighters were indicted for wartime crimes against Serb civilians who were unlawfully detained and allegedly tortured and sexually abused in the Lukavac area in 1992. The Bosnian state prosecution on Friday charged Zijad Srabovic, Refik Morankic, Ahmet Bajric, Abid Arapcic, Senaid Cosic, Pasaga Cajic, Samir Dzambic and Mirsad Zilic with war crimes against more than 20 Serb civilians who were unlawfully detained at several locations in Lukavac and the surrounding area.


9. January 2015.
The Federal Prosecution requests the Court to pronounce longer sentence against four suspects, whom the Tuzla Cantonal Court sentenced to a total of 18-and-a-half years in prison for crimes against prisoners of war in Smoluca, Lukavac municipality, while the Defence requests quashing of the verdict.


26. February 2014.
After the Defence teams of four defendants for crimes against prisoners of war in Smoluca (municipality of Lukavac) asked for a not guilty verdict in their closing arguments, the Cantonal court in Tuzla scheduled the verdict for March 5 this year.


7. October 2013.
As the trial for crimes committed in Smoluca, Lukavac municipality, continues before the Cantonal Court in Tuzla, three witnesses, who previously gave different statements concerning mistreatment of members of the Territorial Defence, face each other.
