The trial of Srecko Acimovic began before the Bosnian state court with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the prosecution and the defense. Acimovic has been charged with genocide, due to his alleged participation in the mass shooting of 1,040 Bosniaks captured after the fall of Srebrenica.

The state prosecution has filed an indictment against Srecko Acimovic, the former commander of the Second Battalion of the Zvornicka Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army, charging him with genocide in Srebrenica.

The Bosnian state prosecution has confirmed that fifteen human remains were exhumed from a mass grave in a dump site near Kozluk in the municipality of Zvornik.

The Bosnian state court has ordered Srecko Acimovic into one month of custody. Avdovic was arrested three days ago on suspicion of participating in the Srebrenica genocide in July 1995.

Richard Wright, an expert in forensics, says at Ratko Mladic's trial at The Hague, that, during an exhumation of 21 mass graves linked to the fall of Srebrenica he found nothing that would indicate that those killed in battles were buried in them.

In his written statement, which was included as evidence, witness RM-269 says that he was present in front of the school building in Orahovac, together with military policemen and other members of the Zvornik Brigade of VRS, on July 14, 1995.
