With the aim of informing the public objectively about the processing of war crimes and other crimes, judicial institutions should become more open towards the media, while journalists should be better educated. This was a conclusion of a meeting of the Association of Court Reporters, AIS, held in Eastern Sarajevo.

A meeting of the Association of Court Reporters, AIS, agreed to initiate a petition against a proposed revision of the Law on Free Access to Information, which would significantly reduce access to information for journalists.

Participants in the first meeting of the Association of Court Reporters, AIS, this year conclude that, despite the progress achieved over the course of the past two years, there are still certain shortfalls in collaboration between the media and judicial institutions in Travnik.

This year’s meeting of the Association of Court Reporters, AIS, which was attended by members from various communities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, concludes that additional efforts are needed in order to solve problems related to the anonymisation of court documents.

Journalists and representatives of judicial institutions in Trebinje are satisfied with their mutual co-operation, but they agree that it could be further improved by educating journalists on reporting court proceedings.
