Testifying at the trial for crimes in the Prozor area, protected State Prosecution witnesses say that members of the Croatian Defence Council intruded villages in their municipality, set houses on fire, killed and deported the local population in July 1993.

As agreed at a status conference, the retrial of Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic, who are charged with crimes in Kljuc municipality, is due to begin on March 6 this year with hearing witnesses’ statements given during the first instance trial.

At the trial of the former Bosnian Serb army chief, Ratko Mladic, the defence completed their cross examination of the protected witness, RM-010, who survived the execution of the Bosniaks in the village of Biljani near Kljuc in July 1992. Maldic’s lawyer, Miodrag Stojanovic, dedicated the majority of his examination to the events which preceded the crime, including the attack by Bosniak forces on the column of the Yugoslav People’s Army, JNA, and Serb police in the vicinity of Kljuc.

A protected Prosecution witness says before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina that a neighbour told her that indictee Oliver Krsmanovic and two other soldiers took men out of the Varda factory in Visegrad and that those men were killed on the banks of the River Drina.
