Presiding judge Darko Samardzic said that the court found the victim’s testimony “credible, convincing and correct”.
Samardzic said the court took into account the defendant’s persistence and ruthlessness in the commission of the crime as aggravating circumstances.
The fact that he has a family and is in poor health, and that he behaved correctly during the trial, were taken into account as mitigating circumstances.
Djojic failed to appear in court to hear the verdict due to his poor health.
The verdict can be appealed.
