Juric, a former member of the Croatian Defense Council, has been charged with the rape and abuse of civilians. The pronouncement of the verdict has been scheduled for Monday, November 9.
On the same day, Mile Pazin, Ivica Markovic and Vide Kresic are expected to enter their pleas. The defendants, all former Croatian Defense Council members, have been charged with war crimes against Bosniaks in Stolac committed during the summer of 1993.
On Monday, November 9, the first state prosecution witness will be examined at the trial of Luka Dragicevic, Boban Indjic, Petko Indjic, Obrad Poluga, Novak Poluga, Dragan Sekaric, Oliver Krsmanovic, Radojica Ristic, Vuk Ratkovic, and Mico Jovicic. The defendants have been charged with kidnapping 20 civilians from a train in Strpci and killing them in the Visegrad area in February 1993. The indictment alleges that they were members of the Second Podrinjska Light Infantry Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army.
The defense of Marijan Brnjic, Martin Barukcic, Ilija and Pavo Glavas, charged with war crimes in Odzak, will present their closing statements on Tuesday, November 10. The defendants are all former members of the Croatian Defense Council, and have been charged with the rape, assault, abuse and humiliation of female civilians.
Appeals will be presented on Wednesday, November 11, at the trial of Veselko and Ivo Raguz. The defendants, both former members of the Croatian Defense Council, were sentenced to three years in prison each under a second instance verdict for war crimes in Stolac and Capljina in 1993. Under the first instance verdict, the defendants were acquitted of charges.
The defense of Dzevad Salcin will present its closing statement on Thursday, November 12. Salcin, a former member of the Bosnian Army, has been charged with war crimes on Mount Igman.
