Prosecutor Nives Kanevcev read the revised indictment in the courtroom. The indictment now includes revisions of certain conventions and protocols, as well as the precise specification of certain names.
The prosecution and the defense didn’t propose any new evidence. At the next hearing, the defense teams will respond to the revised indictment. Closing statements will be presented afterwards.
Bogdanovic and Sladoje, former members of Bosnian Serb forces, have been charged with war crimes in the Grbavica neighbourhood of Sarajevo.
Sladoje and Bogdanovic have been charged with abducting civilians Bajro and Suad Besic from their home in the Kovacici neighbourhood of Sarajevo on June 13, 1992. They allegedly took them to a garage and beat them. The prosecution claims the defendants then took the civilians to Sarajevo’s Jewish cemetery, where they were used as human shields. Suad Besic was killed as a result.
The trial will continue on November 23.
