The unconfirmed indictment accuses Zijad Nanic, Esad Kudelic, Vahid Bajraktarevic, Senad Salkic, Hasan Mustafic, Mehmed Alesevic, Nedzad Bapic, Samir Isakovic and Husein Isakovic of abusing civilians and prisoners of war in a prison located at the command of the 505th Brigade of the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army, which was situated in the former Radoc Hotel in Buzim, from November 1994 to August 1995.

Nanic was the assistant commander of security with the 505th Buzimska Brigade, while the other defendants were military police officers.

They allegedly abused captured members of the Bosnian Serb Army, the National Defense of the Western Bosnia Autonomous Region and civilians.

“The prisoners held in the prison located in the Radoc Hotel, were held in inhumane conditions. The defendants used to take them out to the yard every day and struck them by throwing concrete blocks on them, they forced them to injure themselves and sexually abused them,” the state prosecution announced.

The state prosecution alleges that after having been taken out of the prison and mistreated, eight former Bosnian Serb Army members were taken away and killed by the defendants. Three civilians and one former member of the National Defense of the Western Bosnia Autonomous Region died in detention due to the abuse inflicted upon them by the defendants.

The indictment has been filed with the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
