“The court decided to exclude the public during witness B’s testimony to protect her personal and private life,” trial chamber chair Stanisa Gluhajic said.

The defendants, all members of the Bosnian Army, have been charged with detaining Croat civilians who were subjected to severe physical and mental abuse in the Mostar area from June to December 1993. Demirovic has also been charged with an incident of rape in Potoci.

Curic was a member of the 49th Mountain Brigade of the Bosnian Army and the manager of detention facilities in Potoci. Demirovic was the commander of the 47th Mountain Brigade of the Bosnian Army. Kreso was the head of medical services with a military unit stationed in the Bijelo Polje area. Copelja and Kaminic were members of the Bosnian Army.

The trial will continue on September 9.
