Presenting their findings at a status conference, a court ordered neuropsychiatrist stated that Vinko Kondic would not be able to participate in court proceedings in the future. Kondic, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, had his trial discontinued in 2010.

Neuropsychiatrist Abdulah Kucukalic said he and Dr. Enra Mehmedika-Suljic examined Kondic on July 8, 2015. He said they found no objective improvements in Kondic’s health.

Kucukalic said he found that certain neurological symptoms were more severe, and that Kondic couldn’t sit or walk. He said Kondic’s level of dementia and depression remained the same.

Kucukalic stated that Kondic would be unable to fully participate in court proceedings, and that no improvement was likely due to the type of Parksinon’s he suffers from.

The Bosnian state prosecution has charged Kondic with participating in organizing and inciting genocide, as well as crimes against humanity in the municipality of Kljuc in 1992.

Kondic was initially on trial with Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic, but the case against him was separated due to his illness in September 2010.

The court will reply to these findings at a later stage.
