Goran Mrdja, Milorad Mrdja, Ranko Mrdja and Mile Kokot, former members of the Sixth Sanska Infantry Brigade with the Bosnian Serb Army, have been charged with participating in acts of rape, murder, assault and other crimes in the Sanski Most area.
Neuropsychiatrist Alma Bravo-Mehmedbasic presented findings on injured party and protected witness Z.K.’s mental health. Z.K. claimed to have been raped by the defendants in 1993.
“In 2012 Z.K. was diagnosed with a severe form of depression, and with symptoms of madness and delusion. This can be seen in the documents. Today she has depression of moderate intensity,” Bravo-Mehmedbasic said.
She added that the injured party’s ability to conduct a normal life was reduced by 25 percent. She said Z.K. was also diagnosed with moderate anxiety and mild memory damage.
The public was excluded during the examination of state prosecution witness.
The trial will continue on August 17.
