“Dulic carried me,” Sabid Mujagic said, recalling his wounding in Grabez in late February 1994, when the defendant and others carried him for about 100 meters before he was transported to a hospital.

He explained he was a member of the Interventions and Commando Company led by a man known as Havarija until November 1993, adding that the defendant was not a member of that company.

Mujagic said he then joined the Third Battalion of the 501st Brigade, adding he used to see the defendant on the front lines.

Responding to questions by the trial judges, Mujagic said he did not know whether there was more than one person named Dzevad Dulic, adding he did not know whether he was in Beganovici.

Dulic, a former member of the 510th Bosnian Liberation Brigade of the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army, is charged with raping a woman in the village of Beganovici in December 1993 with two others.

The second witness, who was planned to testify today, did not appear due to illness. Dulic insisted that one more witness be invited.

Dulic explained this witness was mentioned by witnesses during the presentation of reply evidence, adding he lived abroad and, according to his findings, should be in the country at the beginning of July.

He said he would “like him to appear at all costs and say whether he was in Beganovici with him.”

“For the sake of truth and justice and my honour, I shall pay for the video link, anything,” Dulic said.

The trial will continue on June 12.
